Memorial Day Weekend Grand Opening

Saturday, May 27th-Monday, May 29th, 2023

Steamboat’s only Food Truck Lot officially opened over Memorial Day Weekend, Saturday May 27th-Monday May 29th, from 11:00am-9:00pm! Many came down to the community gathering space on Yampa Street where a rotating array of menu choices from the valley’s finest food trucks including mountain berry bowls, Shreddies Food,Tie Dye Cones, Après Burger Bistro, Steamboat Latin Food and El Bajio served up lunch and dinner to enjoy under shaded picnic tables along the river. Following the Grand Opening, hours of operation throughout the summer are Wednesday-Sunday, 11:00am-9:00pm.

Free S'more Party

Saturday, February 11th, 6:00pm-7:30pm

Who doesn't love a good s'more?! Presented by Family Bowl and Snow Bowl Steamboat, the Free S'more Party took place during the 110th Winter Carnival at The Boat Yard on Saturday, February 11th.  S'mores, apple cider, and hot cocoa were free to over 600 guests that attended to enjoy a s'more, warm up around the propane camp fires, and watch the Night Show!  Each s'more bag also included a coupon to Snow Bowl Steamboat! Voluntary donations were accepted to support our friends at The Health Partnership, who connect individuals facing barriers, such as poverty, isolation, and health issues, with resources to achieve optimal health and well-being.

Santa's Reindeer

Saturday, December 17th, 11am-1:00pm

Three of Santa's Reindeer visited The Boat Yard on Saturday, December 17th from 11am-1pm for photos. The lot saw visitors consistently through the 2 hour period, with guests staying late to continue greeting the reindeer! Plus, everyone who attended went home with a bag of cookies for Santa (and for the kids!) as well as a special magical reindeer treat mix of oatmeal to leave out with Santa's cookies on Christmas Eve!

Turkey Bowl

Sunday, November 20th, 2pm-4pm

Benefiting LiftUp of Routt County, the community came together at The Boat Yard to take a turn in The Turkey Bowl, where by donation to LiftUp, players earned the bragging rights of the season by bowling a strike with with a foam turkey on an icy bowling lane! Prizes included  a family bowling night at Snow Bowl Steamboat, Snow Bowl Swag, and TWO tickets to WinterWonderGrass Festival!

*November 20th was THE DUDE's Birthday!* ABIDE.

Trick or Treat

Monday, October 31, 5-7pm

The community was invited to stop by the Boat Yard on their way to the downtown Halloween Stroll for trick-or-treating, free hot chocolate and apple cider, and a spooky Halloween game called "What is in the Witch's Cauldon?" The game consisted of seven boxes filled with items that kids had to guess by touch, including eyeballs (grapes in oil), fingers (pickles with almonds for fingernails) veins (spaghetti and oil), tongues (dried apricots) and more!  Participants won coupons to Snow Bowl Steamboat and candy!
